Finding a 36" range to replace the 20+ year old model in my kitchen was extremely difficult: except for this Premier model, I could not find anything under [$], and most were priced higher. This was less than half the price, but I'd never heard of Premier, so I bought it with some trepidation. But I've had it for a week now and it's great. The 5th burner/griddle is very easy to swap out and use. The burners have multiple settings so that I can go from simmer to wok with no problem. The oven cooks very evenly (especially for a gas oven) and thebroiler is very hot. I love the small storage compartment on the side; it's exactly the right place for the 5th burner/griddle and some cookie sheets. The only disadvantage is that the steel top is thinner than a "professional" model. The area surrounding the burners gets hot quickly, and stains burn on. A little "Softscrub" can take care of this, but I worry about scrubbing off the finish over time. For the price, however, this is a reasonable compromise.
