The Zip Set is a nice feature so that the on time changes as sunset changes. But the dopes that built this thing didn't figure out that people want lights to go OFF at the same time every night. The timer turns lights off after # of hours after turns on. So 4 hrs after sunset in the summer is 12 midnight. 4 hrs after sunset in the winter is 8PM.
I want to shut the lamp off at 11PM every night and that is not an option on this unit.
Poor programming on this unit.

the product itself is fine. It won't work for me because I need a timer that will go off at several different times during each day of the week. This time has 4 modes but you have to manually push the mode buttons to get them activated. If this timer was able to automatically switch from mode to mode then it would work better for me.
Great product, as advertised. I am using it to control some low voltage outdoor lights. THe time knows sunrise and sunset, so it is super easy to program and set up. Highly recommend.

This timer claims to have 4 on/off settings...and it does. But you can only use one setting at a time. I like to set my lamps to come on in the evening and then go off several hours later. And also have the same lamp turn on in the morning and back off in the morning. Not possible with this timer.
