No, I would not recommend this to a friend
for the asking price of the product I expected it to be very professionally finished.
The lamp does not have high quality finish (brush walnut) i.e. one may see brush strokes, unpainted corners, etc.
Also, the lamp is very bulky, which is not what I extexted.
