The fireplace looks great and the fire looks wonderful at night on our patio. We live on the coast and the wind blows often. When the wind blows the heating effect is low...it is nice when the wind is not blowing stiffly. So, on windy nights it is for looks mostly....there needs to be a way to make it more like a fireplace so the heat will be reflected outward from the front instead of three sides.
