No, I would not recommend this to a friend
I bought the product to clean a small pond. Although not heavily marketed for that purpose, the box and other literature tout that use, especially for algae clean-up. Several tries have shown absolutely NO cleaning power for a small 4000 gallon pond. Save your money.

Worked well to clean out the bottom of the pool.
It did not come with a full handle and I did not have one to attach that fit. At end of season, it has been difficult to find a handle.
