Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
So far I've smoked a whole chicken, two chicken breasts, salmon and some ribs. Everything has come out great. There is a ton of room in this smoker. The only down side that I've come across is trying to maintain a constant/lower temperature. Also I'm not sure that the thermometer is completely accurate, but I've been using as digital one and the temperatures are different.
